Abstract
Abstract: The present study attempts to develop some linguistic skills in mentally retarded children via an educational training programme. The population of the study is 16 children who are divided into two groups. The study maintains in general the effectiveness of the proposed programme used in the present study through the following results:
• There are statistically significant differences in the post-application of the proposed programme and those of the pilot group according to linguistic skills scale in favour of the experimental group.
• There are statistically significant differences between the means of children score ratings of the experimental group in the pre- and post-applications according to linguistic skills scale in favour of the post-application.
• There are statistically significant differences in the post-application of the proposed programme and those of the pilot group according to linguistic skills scale in favour of the experimental group.
• There are statistically significant differences between the means of children score ratings of the experimental group in the pre- and post-applications according to linguistic skills scale in favour of the post-application.
