Abstract
This study was done to evaluate the psychiatric aspects of migraine 40 patients attending the outpatient clinic of neuropsychiatric Tanta university hospital met the inclusion criteria of the Ad hoc committee of the international headache society classification scheme(1988) and 20 normal individuals matching the patients age sex and education met the exclusion criteria of migraine.All cases and controls were submitted to organicity testinf(Bender Gestalt and Trail making test0 personality test(Eysenck Personality questionnaireE.P.Q)the clinical examination reveealed that depression and irritability were frequent in migraineurs and they are related to the severity of migraine.the disturbance in memory attention and concentration is proportionate to the duration and severity of the migraine. Also we found ann elevation in the neuroticism and lowering of extroversion scores of(EPQ) in migraineurs
