Abstract
The MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox was designed to make the processing of images relatively simple. It gives the programmer full control of the image files rather than the Traditional signal processing techniques. The MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox is a powerful software package. This paper presents how to identify features (template matching) from digital images using Fast Fourier Transform since it could be considered one of the current challenges in digital photogrammetry.
In this paper, we present MATLAB based software that has the ability of extracting certain object(s) from a digital image using the MATLAB image processing toolbox in the analysis. To see the ability of this MATLAB based software to extract similar features, the software was tested on an alphabet image (containing some images of English alphabets) and an image to ALMaady city and the software are asked to detect images similar to a given template.
