الملخص
Psoriatic patients exhibited more atherogenic lipid profile, higher CIMT and HOMA-IR values than healthy individuals.
MiR-33 is significantly elevated in plasma of psoriatic patients and is correlated with PASI score.
Moreover, MiR-33 is positively correlated with HOMA-IR and CIMT.
In conclusion, miRNA-33 can be used as potential biomarker for psoriasis and as a predictor for cardiovascular comorbidity as increased insulin resistance and subclinical atherosclerosis in psoriatic patients.
