الملخص
The objectives of this work were to study the effect of nitrogen fertilizer and some micronutrients on yield and yield components as well as technological properties of maize grains .Field Experiments were carried out during 1995 and 1996 seasons at the experimental farm of the Faculty of agriculture, Moshtohor, whereas, laboratory tests were performed at Seed Technology Research Section, ARC. Nitrogen levels were 0, 105 and 130 Kg N/Fed in the first season and 0, 50,100 and 150 KgN/Feddan in the second season. Nitrogen levels were randomly located in the main plots and Four micronutrient treatments (control, Zinc (Zn), Born (B) and (Zn + B) were randomly allocated in subplots. The results indicated that increasing nitrogen fertilizer rate caused a significant increase in ear length, ear diameter, ear weight, 100 grains weight and yield. Application of nitrogen did not affect nitrogen percent, Zinc and Boron content while increasing nitrogen levels caused a significant increase in protein percent, protein yield oil percent and total carbohydrate. Foliar application of Zn, B and Zn + B had insignificant effect on the ear length, ear weight and 100 grains weight. Foliar application of micronutrients caused a significant increase in protein %, yield oil percent and total carbohydrate %.
