الملخص
The improvement in the medical treatment nowadays lead to an increase in the numbers of ageing in the society.. With the increase in the unemployment problem and the continuous raise in the prices, lots of parents depend on aging to fulfill their needs. Also the participation of the aging in the different fields is considered an effective way to achieve their roles, feel their values and their ability to give and therefore enhance their spiritual health. The current research explored the economic roles of aging in the family using three subscales i.e home management and family economy, education and hobbies besides the overall economic role. Data collection took place through personal interviews with (200) grandfathers and grandmothers (aged between 60-70) from the countryside and the urban of Qualubia governorate. The key findings indicate that there were statistical differences in the economic roles between the aging of the countryside and those of the urban. Such roles were significantly affected by the family socioeconomic status. Implementation of such roles was correlated with role satisfaction.
