الملخص
The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of a training program based on hope in enhancing self regulation dimensions and the whole score. The study sample consisted of 72 male and female third-year students in the Faculty of Education, Benha University, divided into two groups: experimental group (n= 31) and control group (n= 41). The theoretical analysis discussed the possibility of developing hope based interventions to enhance hope or other psychological constructs. The study concluded the following components which serve as aims of the proposed program:
1- Conceptualize reasonable goals more clearly.
2- Produce numerous pathways to attainment.
3- Summon the energy to maintain pursuit.
4- Reframe insurmountable obstacles as challenges to be overcome.
The whole program consisted of twelve sessions; each session includes procedural goals, activities, exercises and strategies to achieve the aims of the program. The results of the study investigated that there were statistically significant differences between the differences means of the pre-application and post application (of experimental and control groups) in self regulation dimensions (cognitive, behavioral, motivational, emotional regulation) and the whole score in favor of the experimental group.
