Sixty ASA I-II patients aged 2:60 years scheduled for eIecti'/e sU;'gery under general anesthesia were randomly aliocated into three e'i a1. grou;JS according t.o drug used for induction ofanesthesia: C,:mtrol group (Grv~p C) was induced using propofoi only, Metaranl1nol grou» (Group M) was induced using propofol and metaraminol 0.5 mg, and KetamiT:,e group (Group K) induced using propofol and l:etamine 0.5 mg/kg. Systoli!;, diastolic and mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded noninvasivcly immediately after induction and at 2-min intervais for up to 10 min after induction. Verbal analogue scale (YrAS) for determination of induction pain and sedation score for determination of postoperative (30 & 120 min) sedation were also applied.
