الملخص
Background: Increased uric acid levels were associated with increased risk of development of hypertension, cardiovascular disease and progression of chronic kidney disease. Objective: Measurement of serum uric acid(SUA), HBA1c, total cholesterol and C-reactive protein and their relationship to the estimated GFR (by using Cockcroft – Gault formula). Subjects: This cross sectional study consisted of 100 subjects (64 males and 36 Females ). To all, history taken , anthropometric and laboratory measurements were assessed. Research Design and Methods: We study our patients for The Role of Uric Acid in Impairment of The GFR in Nonproteinuric Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Results: Our study included 100 Type 2 DM patients; range of age was 32-67 years, SUA range was 4.4-10.3 mg/dl, e-GFR range was 42-151 ML/min. - SUA is statistically positively correlated with the duration of DM, body weight, BMI and age ( r=0.14 P>0.05, r=0.43 P
