الملخص
Nonionic polymeric surfactants were prepared by formation of polymer from reaction of allyl alcohol with
acrylonitrile. Then product reacted with different fatty acids (Capric, myrestic and stearic) inorder to obtain half ester
polymer. Then propylene oxide was added directly to polymer (5, 10, 15 and 20 mole), in the presence of KOH as
catalyst, then nitrile group in polymer react with hydroxyl amine in the presence of NaOH to obtain amide oxime
nonionic surfactants. The unique structural features of these compounds were confirmed by IR and 1HNMR spectra.
Molecular weights of polymers were determined and physical properties of polymers were evaluated. The surface
properties of these compounds such as surface tension, interfacial tension, cloud point, wetting power, foam power,
emulsification stability, critical micelle concentration, effectiveness, minimum surface area maximum surface excess and
hydrophile-lipophile balance were evaluated. Stability to hydrolysis in acidic and alkaline medium was determined.
Thermodynaomic parameters were evaluated at different temperature. The biodegradability in aqueous medium was
evaluated
