Data or three up-grading trials al local Douliaii cultic with Friesian (Friesian trial). Dairy Shorthorn %Shorthorn trial), and Jersey (Jersey trial) were used to quantify the importance of direct additive effect (d), maternal additive effect (Gm), direct herterosis (1-15, maternal heterosis (I-1"), direct recombination effect (R1) and maternal recombination effect (Rm) for birth weight of calves.
