CThis paper presents a view of most of the research of schizophrenia in Egypt from 1969 to 1989. it was found that most of the research has focussed on the physical/biological and the descriptive/ classified model(72%). The psychodynamic and the phenomenological modejs were much less frequently encountered. The main results of these researches are presented and discussed
