- THE STUDY PROBLEM:
In the light of the review of literature, the present study author’s field visits to schools equipped with satellite televisions and the pilot study conducted on third year students in Benha schools, the research problem has been crystallized in the difficulty students face in benefiting from the educational programs broadcasting via educational satellite channels. problem can be answered through answering the following questions:
1- What is the reality of using the educational satellite channels in
knowledge laboratories (or: Manahel al-Maarefa) ?
2- How can these channels be used at the maximum level in the distance education in teaching the geography course at the third year of the prep stage?
3- Is there a difference in the students’ scores means before and after watching the educational programs via the educational satellite channels?
4- Does the level of usefulness from watching those programs, from the students’ point of view, differ from the average score?
5- Is there a correlation relationship between the level of usefulness from the educational satellite channels , from the students’ point of view, and the development in achievement?
6- Does the level of usefulness from watching those programs, from the teachers’ point of view, differ from the average score?
