الملخص
Tuberculosis (TB) is the most important zonootic bacterial disease in cattle so, rapid diagnostic tests for tuberculosis are needed to facilitate early detection and prevention of Mycobacterium bovis transmission. In this study, Forty One herds (4200 cattle) from different governorates were tested by single intradermal comparative tuberculin test using bovine and avian PPD tuberculin, ninety three (2.2 %)animals reacted positively, and then slaughtered. Seventy three(78.5 %) of the slaughtered animals showed visible lesions on post mortem examination while the other twenty (21.5 %) showed non visible lesions. The bacteriological examination of the 93 samples revealed Mycobacterium bovis from only 71 from processed samples (76.3 %)..On the other hand results of the performance of bovid TB STAT-PAK Assay by (lateral flow) Technology for serodetection of serum of cattle previously tested showed sensitivity (83.1 %), specificity (90.9 %), positive predicative value (96.7 %), negative predicative value (64.5 %) and prevalence rate (76.3 %). It is observed that this novel kit is a simple, rapid and accurate detection test for active tuberculosis in cattle. It is concluded that the highest rate of diagnosis of tuberculosis was achieved when we use skin test combined with the Bovid TB STAT-PAK-KIT.
