ABSTRACT
Olive seeds OF Manzanelo CV. were sown in three dates, i.e., mid-September, mid-November and mid-January and treated with several mechanical and chemical treatments. Germination parameters, i.e., percentage rate and value were highly improved when seeds were sown early in mid-September and decreased as sowing date was delayed. Moreover, soaking in 10 % Na2Co3 for 15 minutes, 40 % H2S04 for 15 minutes or 5 % NaOH for 30 minutes as well as sowing the treated seeds in mid-September were the most efficient treatments in improving germination of olive seeds.
